Here I Am Stephanie Pickle Perez

Here I Am Stephanie Pickle Perez... lol Well welcome to my blog about my family life. I am a woman of many jobs. I am a wife, mommy, Christan, friend, military spouse, volunteer, singer, nurse, sister, democrat, scrapbooker, crafter...... all equally and not in any order. I have so much to share from my crafting talents to my opinions of parenting and military life! I am native to California but bias to Los Angles. I was looking to start a blog to help create a outlet and memoir about me and my point of view. I wanted a live journal that my family and I can reflect on to see where our journey started. Well welcome to our blog :) Stephanie Rick and Isaiah welcome you to get to know us and hope you enjoy reading about our many adventures in life.

What's in a Blog Name ?

When signing up for this thing you are asked to pick a name before you can write all your wonderful blogging ideas down. And there I was stumped at my first task--trying to name a blog that would stick with my blog forever. So insert the obvious question here...Why are we Pickles? Before I introduce my family I wanted to let you know my idea behind my obscure blog name.  First of all, the idea of pickling (according to Wikipedia) is the process of preserving something and that is exactly what I wanted this blog to be about preserving moments of our Perez life together. Whether it be the adventures we take as a family, the daily run of the life moments that are common but beautiful, or the paths we take as individuals in our family that make us who we are. I really wanted to "preserve" these moments in a journal so I could reflect on what makes us well us!

Another reason I chose the name was because from as long as I can remember my son has been a little off beat, an original silly pickle! When he was a small child we would often go out to Disneyland for the day just me and him. At the end of a wonderful day together as mommy and son I would want to finish our day off with a treat. I would ask him if he wanted to stop a the Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street... and every time I would get the same response from him, "Mom I want  a huge pickle!" So this blog is dedicated to my little boy who would always pass up the typical sweet treat for something tart and tangy. To my son who thought outside of the little box and went straight for the pickle jar.  This blog is for you MySaiah!

So here we are the Perez Pickles. The silliest people you will read about but I am glad I picked a peck of pickles like them to have a life with.
